Local Music
Anyone in the industry knows that without up and coming bands who can become the next big thing in music, we would have little new work. It’s important to support the local music scene. These are two live music organizations I’m proud to work with.
The Underground in Hong Kong has been going for over 5 years, and provides an opportunity for local bands to play in front of a real audience, something sadly lacking here. They organize 2 concerts in different venues each month, and have have showcased over 300 bands so far!
The Global Battle of the Bands is another great series of concerts happening around the world, an opportunity for new bands to perform and be evaluated by both the audience and judges. Although winning the prize would be something valued by an artist, just being able to perform and get constructive feedback is a huge asset for up and coming bands, allowing them to improve not only their musical ability, but their stage presence and style too.
